In this class we balance the energies of mind and body through gentle movement synchronized with breath. We then go deeper and pause with longer held (Yin) postures that allow us to find focus, flexibility, and stillness, and where we're able to discover opportunities within the challenges we so often rush through. Towards the end of class we move into more restorative postures and then end with a final relaxation pose (savasana). Students leave feeling centered, rested, and refreshed.
Everyone welcome, regardless of level or knowledge of yoga, as well for those working through injuries.
Adelaide has been practicing yoga since 1995 and it has been a regular part of her life ever since. Over the years she's followed various styles of yoga ranging from Hatha, Iyengar, Anusara, and Ashtanga. Within each style she has learned more about the sensitivities of her body, mind, and spirit. In the past several years she's developed an interest in Yin Yoga allowing her practice to become more deeply meditative. She brings this knowledge, wisdom, and sensitivity to her teaching.
She recently completed her 200 hour Yoga Alliance accredited teacher training in Hatha Yoga Flow with Esther Ekhart.
